Les Revenants - Stuart Hall Audience Theory

Image
Les Revenants - Stuart Hall Audience Theory P - PREFFERED READING where the audience agrees with the ideology of the producer. N- NEGOTIATED READING  O - OPPOSITIONAL READING  where the audience disagrees with the ideology of the producer. This theory is bias - it was created in order to prove the hypodermic needle theory wrong. The trailer ruins the show as it gives the whole show away with hermeneutic codes. MICHAEL'S TOP TIP - how useful is this theory really? Does  Les Revenants  even have a preferred reading? Surely it lacks one, instead focusing on confusing the audience as much as possible with a range of hermeneutic codes and complex use of intertextuality? The show provides many polysemic readings.

Glasgow Megasnake - Mogwai

Glasgow Megasnake - Mogwai No lyrics, did the soundtrack to Les Revenants. They are not a chart topping band. The are an instrumental rock band - post-rock. The music is more atmospheric, it is very loud and more metal like. It is distorted guitar music. Their songs are very very long and are not suitable for radio. They lack a lead singer/ Frontman. This makes them atypical. They look boring and are not dressed up, they are also not attractive. They are just a bunch of guys on stage. They originate from Glasgow in Scotland, UK. They never appear in any of their music videos. They own their own record label called RockAction.
