This is not where the audience likes it or not it is how the agree withe ideology of the producer.

When we are reading this article we are made to feel bad for her as it says she has mental health problems and a drug dependance. Another response is anger, we are not supposed to like her as it mocks the courts system. We are frustrated as she has gotten away with serious assault, also distrust to the court system.

This is anchorage.

Her smug face in the picture anchorages the audience into disliking her. She is presented by the media producer to be a dislikable person. She is also represented to be dangerous, stereotypically people with mental health issues are crazy, and they don't want her as a heart surgeon. From this report we get the idea that women are stereotypically crazy and hysterical. It is suggested that people from Oxford are posh and too good for everyone else. One assumption about tinder is that you will only find the crazies on there. It is suggested that tinder is only for sexual hookups and therefore the target audience may thing she is a 'slag' or desperate.

An oppositional response is that the audience feels sorry for her. You feel sympathy as she is a victim because no one has helped her with her mental health issues. We could also think that the man triggered her.

"Homeless person has items burned''

The audience is supposed to feel sympathy towards the homeless person as they have had everything they own taken in a malicious act - this is the preferred reading.

The oppositional reading is joy that there is one less homeless person on the street doing drugs and getting in peoples way. it is although they deserved it because they are only sitting around doing drugs and not helping themselves.

"Kids' tickets dropped after Little Mix show"

The preferred reading is anger at the organisers for selling alcohol at a show that sold kids tickets. it is also anger towards the drunks for misbehaving and abusing the children.

The oppositional reading is that the parents shouldn't have taken them in the first place.
