Opening Scene:

Establishing shot = Extreme long shot
The soundtrack crescendos as the shot type zooms in on the bus demonstrating that this is a key scene - a symbolic code. This helps them to understand the complicated narrative.
Low key lighting has been colour corrected to become desaturated, this emphasises that something eerie is going on - this is an hermeneutic code and forces the audience to negotiate their own perspective on the narrative. This enforces polysemy.
Camille has more screen time on the bus and is consistently framed in a montage of close up shots which positions the audience with the young Camille.
The sudden and mysterious dip to black following the long shot of the traumatic bus accident and is symbolic of the audiences own confusion and the shows primary theme of death and finality.
